Also it is the stunning efforts by the Directorate of Industries and Commerce that has led to the fantastic and unparallel industrial growth.

In order to have further growth, along with fiscal incentives and benefits, many other kinds of assistance in the form of water, power and land is also supplied by the Directorate. To assist small enterprises, the Technical Consultancy Services Organization is very active and do not miss any chance of helping the SMEs. In addition to all these Small Scale Industries Development Corporation, The Karnataka State Finance Corporation, Karnataka Electronics Corporation and Industrial Investment Development Corporation provides add on advantage of finance, raw material, sheds for the factory and equity funding.

Information Technology has no solid roots across India other than Karnataka with Bangalore being the hub. It has a great contribution to the economy of the state. Second to this is the biotechnology sector in the state that is developing at a very fast pace. It is one of the premier contributors to the economy and industrial development in the state. In addition to this, Karnataka also contributes 75% of the India's floriculture that is an upcoming industry across the world.

If we are taking about economic development then how can we neglect the banks and their development. Major seven banks such as Canara Bank, Vysysa Bank, State Bank of Mysore and Syndicate Bank have originated in Karnataka. Also for so much of development cannot proper infrastructure and road construction is required. So Karnataka tenders concerning the roads and their development are also the major ones that are issued by the Karnataka Road Corporation Development.

Combined efforts from each department are giving rise to more expansion and progression. And one such sector that is doing a commendable job of planning and developing the state is PWD i.e Public Works Department. This department owns the responsibility of handling almost every public sector task in Punjab.

If we talk about it in a bigger sense then PWD is the state or central owned Government body that is engaged in the designing, planning and construction of Government assets like hospitals, colleges, schools, police, buildings, courts etc. Also the construction of bridges, flyovers, roads, footpaths etc is sustained and preserved by PWD. To complete all the plans successfully, it issues tenders in the respective state and center. From very small to large scale projects are handled through PWD tenders.

Coming back to Punjab, it can be seen that construction in the state at present is in its full swing leading to many new businesses. For each such task the respective body is issuing Punjab tenders. E Procurement and Tenders Opportunities in Orissa

Orissa is both an agriculture and industrial state and both these sectors play an imperative role in the economy of the state. Along with traditional system of economy, modern infrastructural facilities and technology also has major role in enhancing the economy. Well connected roads and upgraded rail network with flourishing telecommunication and modern microwave systems are also integrated to boost the overall development of the state. Major developments in every sector are giving rise to more business that in turn requires transparency.  To achieve this, Government of Orissa took initiative in 2006 by developing and installing an online method of getting business and tendering, called e procurement.  With this the whole system of tendering became more apparent. E procurement website contains work of 6 Government departments and 7 other corporations containing the work of more than 20 lakhs tenders. Till March 2010 the number of total Orissa tenders published were 11,988.

If we look at the major economy driven sector in state, then it is still agriculture as 76% of the population in the state is engaged in farming or related industries. Orissa is the largest producer of rice. It produces 10th of the total country’s rice production. Besides this jute, oil seeds, coconut, maize, sesame are extensively grown in Orissa. But water shortage is the major setback to the agriculture sector.  Owing to this, Government is coming up with many new projects to overcome this problem. Water Resources department issues various tenders for new and ongoing projects. You can find all these latest tenders on the website of e procurement.

Fertilizer, which is linked to agriculture is the sector that is growing copiously. To support this growth there are four major fertilizer plants in Orissa. These are located at Rourkela in Sundergarh District, one near Kalunga, one at Talchar district Dhenkanal district and one at Baragarh. All these operate to produce different kinds of fertilizers.

In addition to agriculture and its allied industries Orissa is also a mineral rich state. Aluminum, iron, bauxite ore and steel are chiefly found here. Orissa is also rich in ferro-alloys.  Out of total bauxite ore availability in India, half is found in Orissa. Therefore Orissa tenders related to all these industries and their different segments cannot be ruled out. Every industry from medium, cottage to large scale comes out with its projects and get the job done through tenders.

This state also accounts for about 10% of the total steel production in India.  Recently many memorandums by the steel industry giants have been signed with the Government.  Arcellor-Mittal , world’s biggest steel producer has signed a memorandum with Government of setting up 12 MT integrated steel project at Patna with the total investment of Rs 40,000 crores. Then POSCO (Pohang Steel Company, the 5th largest steel producer across the world has also signed a MoU stating to set up 12 MT of steel plant at Paradeep. It will invest Rs 51,0000 crores in this project. Also many such developments have been undertaken through different projects by the Tata Steel, Vedanta Resources Plc, Essar Steel and Jindal Stainless Ltd in different parts of Orissa.

Within the sea of mineral industry, other sectors like biotechnology, forestry, handloom, paper and information technology are also booming. Big companies related to biotechnology are setting up their plants in the state owing to great biodiversity found here. The state is on the brink of coming out as a Biotech hub of the country with biotechnology parks. With developments at such a massive level every kind of Orissa tender will be invited for this project.

In addition to these major developing sectors and sources of Orissa tenders, there are other avenues like energy, textile, cement, ancillary, petrochemical, food processing and auto that are very profitable and part of state’s economy. Such as, about 8876 projects are going on in food and allied industries, 1771 projects are forest and wood based, 3217 are textile projects and 1599 rubber and plastic projects.

So it can be concluded that Orissa state is full of every kind of industry and growing profusely in each sector with new technology like e procurement, streamlined decisions and industry friendly policies.

Road Repair and Construction - Roads to Recovery

The significance of road is acknowledged by all as this is one of the most widely used things in the world. In simple words roads are the connecting links between places and destinations that are generally smooth but small roads are paved also.

To construct roads varied materials like asphalt concrete, brick, cobblestone, gravel, planks, tarmac, concrete etc are used. Each used material has its own life and so long is the life of the road made from it. The hardest to hardest material with time deteriorates and thus requires repair and maintenance. Besides heavy traffic there are other factors like environment, snow, rain, earthquake etc that lead to the cracking or deterioration of the road. But among all it has been found out that the most common factor resulting the potholes on the roads is rain. Most of these road repairing projects are given out in the form of road repair tenders. The construction and other related enterprises pick the tender of their industry and apply for it to get the project.

In comparison to all other material bitumen and concrete roads have the longest life of around 40 years. But in order to maintain these roads very sophisticated instruments like laser/inertial Profilometers are used. Through this instrument the curvature of the road along with unevenness, rutting, roughness etc is measured. The data so obtained is then fed into pavement management system. This system then recommends the best maintenance treatment. Based on the requirement various contract work tenders are issued for the best possible outcome.

Further in order to maintain the roads made from asphalt concrete, the process of surface rejuvenation, crack sealing and micro-milling is recommended. Preservation of surface leads to better roads that then require less maintenance. With these processes the structure of the road is also retained to a large extent.

Joint sealing is another method of repairing the damaged roads. Through this method the infiltration of water to the road as well as compression of material is reduced that further lessens the road damage. In joint sealing the old sealant is first of all removed followed by cleaning of the crack. After this the backer rod and the new sealant is applied on the spot. The old sealant is removed with different processes like sawing, manual removal, cutting and plowing.

While cleaning the hole no remains of old sealant as well as dust should remain there. So for better result it is first of all washed with water then air is blown into it to remove any dust particle. After this the backer rod is installed with the help of double-wheeled steal roller that is followed by the sealant in joints.

Road repair tenders in India are mostly issued by the central and state government. These mostly include the construction of new road, maintenance and repair of the old roads, pavement, side drain along the road, widening of road etc. Also in this section putting pipe lines for different utilities is done that are also issued under road repair tenders and road tenders in India. So if you are interested in getting road repair tenders then expand your horizon and broader category of building construction in your business. Selection on the tender should be based on the kind of work you can presently handle comfortably. Also make sure that how capable is your business in handling the stress of work. The submission of road repair tenders should be done after weighing all the elements as then only you will be able to serve the public efficiently.
